Job Description
Loading, unloading, transporting, and delivering materials or equipment on short or long haul trips with the use of a tandem axle truck and pup or trailer. When necessary, drivers may be assigned other equipment to operate or be assigned other duties. Drivers are expected to operate in a professional manner at all times and follow all safety regulations. Each driver must pass a Drug and Alcohol Pre-Employment test as well. Responsibilities
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspection report
- Maintaining a maintenance and repair log
- Ensuring the safety and security of cargo
- Inspecting vehicle and reporting any issues to a supervisor
- Performing brake adjustments
- Performing routine maintenance (greasing, washing, oil change, etc.)
- Reporting any required or preventative maintenance to a supervisor
- Complying with applicable legislation and safety standards
- Receiving and relaying information to dispatcher
- Operating wheel loader to load aggregates into the truck
Requirements
- Hold a valid Class 1 license with air brake endorsement, and have a clean driver’s abstract
- Responsible for paying any reasonably avoidable fine levied to them or the company through their employment
- Loading experience is recommended
- Scale and enforcement officer interaction/responsibilities
- Experience loading, securing and transporting different material or various types of heavy equipment
- Must be able to operate a tractor/trailer unit in city traffic and on highway

Drivers are expected to operate in a professional manner at all times and follow all safety regulations. Each driver must pass a Drug and Alcohol Pre-Employment test as well. Responsibilities

- Performing brake adjustments
- Cleaning, lubricating, and refilling tanks
- Reporting any required or preventative maintenance to a supervisor
- Complying with applicable legislation and safety standards
- Receiving and relaying information to dispatcher
- Planning travel schedule and routes
Requirements
- Hold a valid Class 3 license with air brake endorsement, and have a clean driver’s abstract
- Responsible for paying any reasonably avoidable fine levied to them or the company through their employment
- Scale and enforcement officer interaction/responsibilities
- Previous concrete experience is an asset
